Privacy Policy

Designa (designa.work) is operated by SS Ventures, the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything privacy related, write to sumana@studiocontour.co.in.

Account data — your name, email address and a securely hashed password when you sign up, plus your studio’s name, GST details and branding when you set up a workspace.

Workspace content — what your studio puts into the product to run projects: leads, clients and their contact details, specifications, mood boards, documents and drawings you upload, quotations, invoices, procurement records and comments.

Payment data — payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of the payment (amount, status, a payment reference) but never see or store your card or bank details.

Usage and technical data — standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and, on our marketing pages, advertising analytics such as the Meta Pixel. Session cookies keep you signed in; we do not sell your data to anyone.

We use your data to run Designa: signing you in, showing your studio its projects, generating quotes and GST invoices, sending the emails the product needs (sign in links, client approval requests, notifications), providing support and onboarding, keeping the platform secure, and improving the product. On marketing pages we use analytics to measure our ads. We only email you about your account, your offer or things you have asked for.

Your studio’s owner and admins control access: team members see what their role allows, and clients see only what is shared with them through the client portal (boards, specs, quotes and invoices for their own projects). Our team does not browse your workspace; we access it only if you ask for support help or the law requires it.

We run on a small set of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage), Razorpay (payments) and our transactional email provider (sign in and notification emails). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

While your subscription is active, we retain your workspace data so the product works. If your plan lapses or you cancel, we keep your data for 60 days so you can renew or export it, after which it may be permanently deleted from live systems; residual copies clear from encrypted backups within a further 35 days.

If a purchase is refunded under the 7 day money back guarantee, the same 60 day retention window applies from the refund. You can request earlier deletion of your workspace or your personal account at any time. Invoice and payment records may be retained longer where Indian tax and accounting law requires it, and server logs are kept for a short period for security.

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, access inside the product is role based, and client portal links are private to the people they are shared with. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least access and keep our footprint small.

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Studio owners can export workspace data from the product or by asking us; individuals can ask what we hold about them and have it corrected or erased. Write to sumana@studiocontour.co.in and we will respond within a reasonable time, as Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act) provides.

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you by email or inside the product before the change takes effect. The latest version always lives at designa.work/privacy.
